Today, on January 1 of the new (2012) year, my HTC Desire (to which
I did not install the August system update
to Android 2.3, proposed
on HTCdev ) announced the appearance of a new system enhancement
(System Enhancement) and offered to download and install it.
The size of the proposed package was
only 6.34 megabytes - on Wi-Fi it was downloaded in a few seconds - so I agreed.
After installation, the phone pleased me with the news of a successful upgrade
to version 2.29.405.14 . (The Android version
is 2.2.2 , the kernel version is
2.6.32.15-gf5a401c .)
')
I don’t observe any clearly visible changes in the appearance and behavior of the operating system, HTC’s
Russian twitter also didn’t have a word about anything this year, so there’s not a word about the merits of the update.
Some bugs fixed, I suppose, and that's all.
