“Anonymous Christmas Gifts” by Anonymous Continue: SpecialForces.com Military Retailer Hacked

The hacker group Anonymous, known for a number of high-profile incidents related to the violation of computer security of a number of very serious military, financial and criminal organizations, clearly does not sit idly by: recently it became known that the information-analytical agency StratFor, which deals with comprehensive analysis, was attacked. as the CIA, and now the new victim - the personal information of the project SpecialForces.com, which supplies goods to the military and security agencies, has been compromised.

As a result, according to (an) Anonymous, during the last months about 14,000 passwords and about 8,000 credit cards from the project database were at the disposal of the group. Unfortunately, the group does not provide almost any technical details, except for the fact that the vulnerability on the project site was discovered by the site’s staff on December 15, however, no action was taken, however; stolen passwords, as opposed to StratFor data, were still encrypted. The hackers in this post on PasteBin described the motives of their actions, not forgetting to make fun of the defense project, carrying out military deliveries - the site contained "impressive" statements " Scanned by GoDaddy.com: secured website " and " McAfee SECURE theft, credit card fraud, spyware, spam, viruses, and online scams ”, which were ridiculed by the attackers.

In the affected SpecialForces.com they do not deny ( Twitter with a letter about hacking the database) the fact of leakage of classified information, noting that at the moment the customer base is locked and it is not possible to log in to the client system using any login or password from the database. This seems like a natural step on their part, because Anonymous did not forget to leave links to archives with client passwords for free browsing (links are not working now, but finding specialforces_passwords.txt and specialforces_full.txt.gz files is hardly a problem for those interested).

The curious thing is that the hackers act not just for the sake of “fun” and their own pleasure, but some moral obligations call their motives — probably many remember that Anonymous took responsibility for the disruption of servers that distribute child pornography, and then promised as a result of the operation “Robin Hood” - to transfer money from the accounts of a number of financial organizations to the accounts of charitable societies and unions, which, it is true, adds the most significant problems to the latter in the difficult explanation of revealing of monetary amounts as a result of doubtful financial transactions. Another important motive of their actions Anonymous called the release of Private Bradley Manning - now under the court chief informant Wikileaks.

In the coming days, Anonymous promise new hacking projects related to global financial, military, and government structures, straightforwardly designating their heads as nothing other than the capitalist pigs.
