Reconstruction of the Tschuggen Grand Hotel in Switzerland completed by Mario Botta

To the existing hotel building , Mario Botta has added a new architectural volume of Wellness Berg Oase with an area of 3.5 thousand square meters.

The various levels of the Berg Oase SPA resort are characterized by their interrelation and special relationship with the environment - thanks to the special design, not only excellent insolation characteristics are provided, but also the opportunity to enjoy amazingly beautiful views of the surrounding landscape, going from procedure to procedure. Specially created artificial lighting system gives the resort a truly magical atmosphere at night.

The internal space of the object is divided into four levels.

The basement floor (1856.51 meters above sea level) housed the majority of technical equipment and facilities for servicing both the complex itself and fitness equipment, part of the technical area and dressing room for visitors not staying at the hotel but having direct access to this floor. outside.

On the ground floor (1,859.81 meters above sea level), the remaining technical areas are located, as well as care areas, including: a swimming pool, body care and beauty cabinets, a solarium, a hairdresser and toilets.

The second floor (1859.11 meters above sea level), equipped with a glass bridge connecting Berg Oase with the hotel, combines reception, rooms for staff, cloakrooms for hotel guests, as well as the Sauna World complex with a relaxation area.

The third floor (1866.11 meters above sea level) is entirely given under the “Water World” with a variety of swimming and relaxing pools. On the floor you can also find toilets and a separate, largest in the complex, a recreation area.

Rooms such as a solarium or sauna can be accessed directly from the swimming pool or using the terrace system, literally immersed in the natural environment outside.

The new building is not only perfectly in harmony with the hotel, but also skillfully inscribed in the rocky mountain landscape. The public areas of the hotel were redesigned with the direct participation of well-known interior designer and architect Carlo Rampazzi to create a more comfortable atmosphere and solve the problem of car parking.
