Where do domains get * .rf after death

Just over a year ago after the opening of the domain zone. RF, one of the registrars held a contest in Habré with the distribution of domains as prizes. I was “lucky”, I also received the right to register an RF-domain for free. At first there was a desire to register something like "x # ebl # dapap # heel # ina.rf", because I did not see the prospects for this zone, but after scratching my turnip, I nevertheless decided to use the opportunity in a more pragmatic way. A year later it turned out that the registrar for the extension of the domain wants 600 rubles. This is a lot, now it is realistic to maintain domains for 110. But the name came up with something good, it’s a pity to give. In general, reluctantly decided to leave him, and then, if possible, register through another registrar at normal rates.

Has come day X (free-date). Then day X + 1, then X + 2 ... It's been 10 days, and the domain still weighs as registered but not delegated. What do you think is the reason? Maybe this is the specificity of national domains?
