TextSecure: secure messaging on Android

The Whisper Systems company releases various corporate applications for Android devices, including a system of total cryptographic information protection in the memory of a smartphone and in backups, a firewall for network connections. The company has in its arsenal of development, which is more focused on ordinary users: it is a utility TextSecure . It replaces the standard Android OS messaging program and provides end-to-end encryption of all information. If the program is yours, then the local message storage is encrypted. If TextSecure is also installed with the recipient, the messages are transmitted in encrypted form over the network.

Yesterday, the company reached a new level by posting TextSecure source codes on github under the GPLv3 license.
