Qualitative pdf magazine - will it fly up or not?

I was lucky to participate in the launch of a new Russian pdf magazine - “Details of the World”. Business model - advertising. You can download without registration, or after elementary registration (only e-mail is needed, registration provides some additional features, such as participation in the discussion).

Discussions about the future of pdf journals seem far-fetched to me, since unequivocally, there are already such magazines, and there will be more of them (we are not talking about scanned versions of paper projects, but about magazines that were thought and created in the pdf-version).

Another question is which magazines will survive. What is more viable - a project with low quality and low income needs, or a resource-intensive high quality project that requires a good collection of advertising funds? I speak not only about the quality of the design, but also about the quality of the content, which is determined by the involved forces and means.

Journal "Details of the World" - popular science topics. I consider it to be a strong professional team of authors, designers, editors and other specialists. That is, it is not a project of students or amateurs. Despite some shortcomings (many experts - from the paper press, the experience presses ;-)), the first number was strong. Nice to read for yourself.

I’ll say at once that I’m not a boss or an editor in a project. Therefore, I cannot answer all the questions. I would like to hear the views of the public, to hear criticism. And thoughts - soar or not soar.
