The design office of Alec Wong and Donna Koch (Alec Wong & Donn Koh) has released a concept phone with a hook. Thus, the designers gave a new start in the life of the phrase “hang up”, which is outdated in the functional plan. The idea of the concept is that the phone is designed in such a way that it breaks the connection (i.e. hangs up) when the speaker on it really hangs up. For example, on the door handle. In appearance, the phone desperately looks like such things in hotels with the words "do not disturb", which are hung on the door handle of the room. The upper part of the device is made in the form of a kind of loop (or hook) and is connected to the main part with the help of a moving "transition" mechanism. Thus, when you hang up the phone (yes, anywhere, even in the bathroom with a towel hanger, even with a desk lamp), under the weight of the main part, the contacts close and the device breaks the connection.
It is not known whether such a phone will ever be on sale, but as a conceptual model it is very interesting. It may well come to taste to people trying to decorate their home with all sorts of futuristic gadgets.
