reports that the first LTE network in Russia was launched today in Novosibirsk, and it was implemented by Yotoy (Scartel). The official
press release announcing this news is available
on the Yota.Ru website .
Currently, technical testing is underway for “champions” (active users receive free
LTE modems for network testing), but on January 15, 2012 it is planned to start selling subscriber equipment to the company for everyone.
The marks on that map

Interestingly, Scartel reports that their network is ready for joint operation by several mobile operators, and even technical integration with MegaFon has been carried out.
