Today in Novosibirsk, we launched the first commercial LTE network in our country.
This is the most modern standard of mobile communication today.
At the moment, the main stage of network construction has been completed. This is the second network in this standard in Russia, the first one was also launched by us in Kazan on August 31, 2010.

LTE speed test
The network is fully ready for joint operation by several operators. It will work on the same bands as in Europe 2.5-2.7 GHz. To date, 63 base stations have been installed in Novosibirsk (manufactured by Huawei), by March their number will be increased to 150. The speed of communication in Novosibirsk at the peak will be: injection - 22 Mbit / s, return - 9 Mbit / s.
LTE Yota modem (manufactured by Quanta Computers)
From January 15, 2012, Yota Modems will be available to everyone in their own retail and partner networks. Its cost will be 2990 rubles. Tariffs remain the same. Both at cost and whenever possible independent regulation of the Internet .
Later this year, mobile and fixed routers made by our partners and certified to work in the LTE Yota network will go on sale. In 2012, we are going to actively build an LTE network and launch new cities, so all new Yota cities will be using LTE technology.
