Actually, it is clear that this will not be a thought management in the literal sense of the word, neither computers, nor people are able to read the thoughts of anyone. Nevertheless, some devices and the corresponding software allowing to interact with the PC by means of “thought” already exist. Some of these devices were even viewed on Habré. A rather interesting
forward-looking article from IBM was published the other day, where, among other technical innovations (oh, these innovations), the near future indicated the wide distribution of “thought interfaces”.
The principle of operation of the devices referred to above is clear - this is the reading of indications of some characteristics of our brain activity, and the corresponding equipment response to certain read characteristics. All this IBM (and not only) calls the brain-machine interface (BMI). Appropriate hardware receives the activity data of our brain, and software, respectively, processes information and controls other hardware.

Now such devices are commercially available, but you can't call them ideal. Rather, it is just entertainment, albeit based on high technology. But IBM believes that such devices will soon become much more sophisticated, and therefore more popular. The corporation is currently working on technologies that will allow us to manage many household and computer devices with simple mental effort. A man got up in the morning, he thought “I want coffee,” and the coffee machine turned on. I thought “I should take a shower,” and the shower also turned on. No magic - all purely scientific.
Perhaps, they say at IBM, within five years, all fingerprint scanners and password managers there will be a thing of the past, and security systems will be based on integrated reading of biometric indicators. And it will be done on the go, and the determination of the frequency characteristics of the wave activity of the brain will become an integral part of such systems.
Well, that would be very good - only now from the chair or sofa, then in general, many will stop getting up. No remote controls, only the need to focus on a particular thought. Once - and the TV turned on. Two - pizza delivered. Three - a chair with a man went into the shower. In general, almost the future of Wall-E.
