With 100 million Asian coders available, it’s hard to find an unoccupied niche and make money from your own software product. Congratulations to those who succeeded and wish good luck to the others.
However, if you have a bunch of software + iron in your project, the chances of success increase many times over. China, of course, will copy everything, but not immediately.

In our small project there is a software component, and iron. I want to tell a small, useful story to someone about the design of a prototype piece of iron.
The organization of production planning in the modern conditions of capitalist management in Russia is full of wonders. But I will not get ahead.
Our project Dosimeter-Radiometer for mobile devices consists of three parts.
Software
Work designer and programmer. First, software is done for the iPhone, then everything adapts for Android and WinPhone7.
Inner iron Pre-Ra
The radio engineer and the inventor of the silicon scintillator are working.
The dosimeter is pulled over the phone from above with an audio jack.
Due to the hands of a radio engineer, the dosimeter for the iPhone was given the name of a
scammer .
Do-Ra Design
The appearance of the piece of iron determines the success of the market.
If your product looks bad - no one will buy it, no matter how wonderful it is inside.
Industrial designer 5 weeks working on the creation of 3D models of crap. Ready
The project was transferred to a secret factory in the Moscow region.
Factory workers carefully asked us not to give our address and telephone number in the press, as well as other company details.
We easily agreed with this proposal, since they are actually sitting in some kind of mailbox (pb) with a triple circuit of protection. Our designer has lost a lot of time, ordering passes to pick up ready-made wallcovers for the iPhone.
Knowing the Russian defense industry, I was skeptical about the results of the work of the factory workers.
Reality surpassed all expectations. The result of the first iteration was several times larger than planned. It was possible to shove several iPhones into the jar brought by manufacturers.

After a bit of opposition, the factory guys admitted their mistake.
The second iteration brought the size of the correct size. But revealed a new joint. The fact is that in the 2nd lap, the casters from the factory used a very “aggressive” powder composition. The result was a body like sandpaper. When you take the scoop in your hands, there is a feeling that you are holding the grinding wheel.
It took only 2 days, suddenly an unexpected call came to the office. Our factory workers, finding something wrong, brought new, miniature, “immaculate”, silicone bracelets straight into the office. And the fact that we really wanted, ideally, from the crap, namely the characteristic cotton, when we took it off the iPhone with the sound of “chpok!”, We received absolutely free of charge.
Thus, from the project on paper to the finished sample, only three iterations have passed, which I consider to be a Russian miracle. And let the Chinese rest.
