Plans

Now we are in contact with ROVIO and we plan to hold such tournaments more often.

Tournament mechanics

We put 8 plasma screens in the IT park conference room and connected an adapter to each via iPad2 (iPads were taken , rented from friends.) Participants played on the iPad, and the image was displayed on a plasma or video cubes.

At registration, participants received only a tape at hand, because there were many people who wanted to come and it would have been difficult to record everybody.
By the way, half of the 3000 participants did not play, just came to see / cheer. A lot of young mothers with children came (the children are delighted with the Tournament).

Process

At each judge, anyone willing filled out the Participant Card and passed the same level three times. The best result was recorded in the individual competition.
The participants' cards were collected into an Excel spreadsheet and by simple sorting we received 32 best participants who were to play according to the Olympic system. All final games were broadcast on video cubes (diagonal - 5 meters!)
  1. 16 games of the one-eighth finals (3 attempts, considered the best result, a new level)
  2. 8 games of one-fourth final (3 attempts, considered the best result, a new level)
  3. 4 games of one second final (3 attempts, the best result, the new level is considered)
  4. 2 semi-final games (3 attempts, best result, new level)
  5. 1 final game (1 attempt, new level

During the tournament, positive emotions came from each iPad and the tournament was very fun. Everyone who wants to hold such tournaments will be happy to answer questions and help with advice.
