So, the ten-week marathon came to an end, during which thousands of people could study courses from Stanford teachers for free. The results of the courses on machine learning and artificial intelligence are still ahead, and the working group of the course on databases has already published statistics and sent out certificates to all participants (to be exact, only to those who were actively working).

The course included such topics as: relational databases (relational algebra, ER modeling), XML verification, XML queries, indexes, constraints and triggers, transactions, views, recursion in SQL, OLAP and NoSQL (the latter is more likely to be seen) and some other topics.
It is worth noting that the certificate of completion of the course contains the remark that this course did not fully correspond to the course at Stanford (well, as well as a detailed description of what this certificate is not).
Even though they actively studied the course (without taking into account those who just watched the video for self-education), 14 times fewer people than registered, this number indicates a serious interest in distance education. I would like to expect that in addition to the already announced courses there will be new, no less interesting, and maybe even an opportunity to get a very real degree (before the start of the course on AI, teachers mentioned the opportunity to study in a magistracy, first for 2K and then for free however, in the end, this case died down).
