Hello! Today we have news for linguists. December 20 in our Moscow office will host the next seminar on computational linguistics
ABBYY Open .
The seminar will be devoted to the description of the structure of the thesaurus of the Russian language RuTez, which is the largest linguistic ontology used for automatic text processing. The report will compare the structure of the thesaurus with other similar projects: traditional information retrieval thesauruses, thesauruses such as WordNet, formal ontologies. We will consider applications of automatic text processing that use the RuTez thesaurus.
The seminar is led by Natalya Lukashevich - Ph.D. in Physics and Mathematics, leading research associate of the Scientific-Research Center of the Moscow State University. Under her leadership and with direct participation, such linguistic resources as the RuTez Russian Language Thesaurus, OENT on Science and Technology Ontology are developed, ontological resources are created in specific subject areas (computer security, aviation, banking, etc.). These resources are used in various technologies of automatic text processing: automatic conceptual indexing, expansion of a search query, rubrication, automatic annotation of individual documents and groups of thematically close documents, clustering documents.
