University of Cambridge began to lay out in online scanned copies of Isaac Newton's documents, starting with student notebooks and his personal notebook (Waste Book), which he led all his life. From these records one can judge how ideas were born in the head of a brilliant scientist and how he gradually came to his discoveries.
For example, Newton made the first mathematical discoveries as early as his student years: the classification of third-order algebraic curves and the binomial expansion of an arbitrary degree, from which the Newtonian theory of infinite series begins. Newton managed to get the decomposition for all the standard at the time functions.
