Higgs boson found?

With a large degree of confidence, it is expected that tomorrow at 9 am EST, scientists of the Large Hadron Collider at CERN will announce the discovery of the Higgs boson with a mass of 125 GeV at a statistical certainty of 3.5 sigma. Despite the fact that the statistical validity of 5 sigma is necessary for a full statement about the discovery, all that is greater than 3 allows us to declare signs of the existence of a particle.

As far as a casual search on the Internet showed, the two main detectors ATLAS and CMS independently obtained data on the existence of a theoretically described particle.
