Google Planetarium: Meet Google Earth Sky

Today, Google announced the launch of Sky, a new feature of Google Earth, which allows users to look at the starry sky that we see from our planet.

With the help of Sky, users can literally fly through millions of galaxies: you can view 100 million stars and 200 million galaxies on Google Earth. High resolution images, as well as seven informative layers create a unique platform for visualizing and exploring outer space.

To access Sky, you naturally need to first launch Google Earth, and then select the Switch to Sky option from the View menu. The interface and navigation in Sky mode is the same as in normal mode. Here there is the same movement, zoom, search, layers and “My Places”.
