As previously suggested, Google
released embedded maps yesterday — they can now be embedded into web pages like YouTube videos. The process of creating maps is quite simple: go to
Google maps or
create your own maps page , then click on the link link this page located in the upper right corner and copy the given html-code.

The HTML code is iFrame, and cannot be used in some sites, like YouTube videos (on Habrahabr, YouTube videos cannot be pasted using standard methods).
