Evernote Windows Update: Favorites Bar

Today's update brings an interesting feature to Evernote for Windows (version 4.5.2), which was previously implemented in Evernote for Mac. It's about the favorites panel.

This small panel is located above the list of notes and allows you to do several useful things. Firstly, with its help you can quickly move to one or another block of your notes. For example, after clicking on the Web Sites item in the list, only notes with copied web page fragments will remain. Or you can click on Tags and select the label by which you want to filter the list of notes.

The favorites bar generally makes working with tags much easier. Sometimes it’s quite difficult to find a label in a long list and it’s much easier to use a new panel. Click on Tags and start typing the search word - all non-relevant tags will be dynamically filtered from the list. The same can be done with a list of notebooks, which is very convenient when you have a lot of notebooks.

Another interesting feature of the favorites panel is the ability to fix the necessary elements on it. Have a note to which you keep coming back? Take it to the panel. Have a saved search query that you regularly use? Drag there and him. You can drag even attributes there, for example, unfinished to-do lists. It also works with notebooks, tags, and virtually all other content in your account.

Try the favorites panel and tell us about your impressions.

This update also contains many other fixes and improvements.
