
The competition for the title of the best educational electronic resource of Latvia was won by the
Russian International Virtual School (ShKola.LV) .
The international creative educational portal
ŠKola.LV was officially recognized by the Latvian expert commission as the best educational resource of the country and nominated for the international
World Summit Award 2007 , held every two years.
The founder of the project, a student at MGIMO, Nikita Khalyavin noted: “I am both pleased and surprised that the expert commission of Latvia assessed my innovative project this way, not paying attention to its language affiliation, but only to its quality characteristics. I can say with full satisfaction that there will be Russian education in Latvia! ”

It should be clarified that the
Shkola free virtual school was created in 2005 to support Russian education outside of Russia, and today it is successfully used by tens of thousands of citizens of the CIS, Russia and Baltic countries.
