Samsung has succeeded in the Apple patent infringement case. The court lifted a temporary ban on the sale of Galaxy Tab 10.1, and on Friday the Korean company will be able to begin selling these devices in Australia. In general, companies rarely manage to win such lawsuits, Samsung lawyers have tried their best. However, Apple may soon make an appeal against the court decision, so that the solution to the problem, as always in such cases, is postponed.
The court decision was made very on time, because now there is a pre-Christmas sale of everything and everyone, and people throw out a huge amount of money for gifts. And sales of Samsung tablets in Australia can immediately start from a high point. True, if Apple manages to do something again to block sales of tablets by the South Korean company, then the Christmas meeting can be a good deal for Samsung. However, chances for blocking sales are no longer so much, Apple’s lawyers can only file an appeal, which is likely to be rejected.

In Germany, as is well known, the court ban has not yet been lifted, and Samsung has released the Galaxy Tab 10.1N model specifically for the German market. Apple believes that this version violates patents on the company's technology, and they are going to sue. It may well be that in Germany and Galaxy Tab 10.1N will be banned for sale.
Now Apple and Samsung are “fighting” in the courts of 10 countries; this is one of the most recent patent wars. It all started in April, first with a bit of controversy, which then turned into a hot conflict. As for Australia, Samsung has already filed a lawsuit demanding an end to sales of the iPhone 4S in this country. According to representatives of the South Korean company, Apple has violated some patents on technology owned by Samsung.
Well, we will wait for the next series of lawsuits. It seems that the litigation of both companies may take a very long time.
