Czech video search on Yandex technology

Today, a new service has appeared on the largest Czech portal Seznam.cz - search by video . And we write about it in our blog, because the service runs on Yandex technology. At the beginning of the year, Seznam held a tender among several search engines, and we won.

For several months, we did a video search for Seznam. They took Yandex.Video technology as a basis, added an understanding of the Czech language to it, indexed video hosting sites in the CZ domain, reconfigured the ranking formula taking into account local factors. Our Czech colleagues helped and continue to help us with the search quality.

Czech video search works on the same principle as Yandex.Video in domains RU, UA, BY, KZ and TR. That is, users from the respective countries see in the search results videos from both the global and local Internet.
