FINANCE.UA: a few facts about the leading financial portal of Ukraine

Hello, comrades habrarayezry. We here decided to start a blog of our company. I myself have been writing on Habr for a long time, but now maintaining a corporate blog is a new thing for me, and much more responsible. In general, lately we have had several initiatives on the portal, “attempts at writing and voices,” as one of our employees says. I want to tell the audience about them, get feedback.

But start, I think, will be true with dating. Therefore the first posts in our corporate habra-blog will be review. I will tell you what the main directions exist on our portal: what and how you can read, what and in what form to “pull out”, who and how spends time on our portal, etc. So let's get acquainted, “The largest Ukrainian financial portal FINANCE.UA ” and “we carefully ask” under habrakat.


One of the oldest subdivisions of our portal, which exists since 1997 - Economic news and financial news News.finance.ua . Every day we publish about 150 thematic news necessarily in Ukrainian and Russian. News is collected from more than 100 sources of financial and economic information.

Our Financial Forum Forum.finance.ua is the largest financial community in Ukraine. The forum authors are top managers, heads of banks and leading experts of relevant companies. Many Ukrainian banks are separate branches on the forum. One of our regular and authoritative authors aka "Uncle Sasha" and at the same time well-known in narrow circles analyst Alexander Dmitrenko, publishes his financial reviews in video mode.

Historically, one of the forum topics - “ Currency Market in Context ” - is essentially a community within a community. Many authors of this topic, most likely, do not even know about the existence of the rest of the forum :). For them, not so long ago, we launched MST - a chat interface for reading and publishing messages in this topic, which is tuned to mobile devices.

Also, a few weeks ago in beta mode, we published a mobile skin for the entire forum, which is automatically activated when viewing the forum from mobile devices.

Another of the subdivisions of the portal is the Video Interview project. Well-known figures in the economic sphere of Ukraine, for example, ex-Minister of Finance of Ukraine Viktor Pinzenik and President of the Association of Ukrainian Banks Oleksandr Sugonyako, answer video questions from the portal’s audience.

We have repeatedly received requests from our regular readers to publish news also in audio format. And at the moment, two pilot issues of the podcast are available for listening on the forum: munalist Masha and analyst Sasha discuss the opening of the Nord Stream and the prospects for South Stream .

In the next post I will introduce you to Financial Ports and Information Services - a group of services for banks and their clients. I will tell about what information and in what form we export from the portal. And I’ll also make a small review of our online-service for home accounting “ Home Finances - home.finance.ua ” and the free API of this service.
