Domain Management Center 2ns.info - updated version

Hello! In May, I launched the domain management service 2ns.info . This project was created for people who need an “all-in-one” tool for working with their domains and sites, including managing DNS, registering and parking domains, and so on — you no longer need to have registration for different services for this. In June, my friend andorro wrote his review 2ns.info . The post was positively received by the habra Audience, there were many registrations on the site and it became clear that the project was necessary. A lot of time has passed since then, so I would like to tell you what was done.



To begin, a few words about the project: The service is aimed at those people who are somehow connected to domains or sites and primarily aims to create an “all-in-one” service (DNS management, domain registration, domain parking, etc.) so that you do not need to be registered on a bunch of different services to perform various actions.

Domain Registration

Probably the most significant update is the ability to register and transfer domains. The registration process is as simple as possible, the service requests only the necessary data and you will not see any offers to enter a fax number or any other unnecessary information.



Registration itself comes down to just a few clicks - checked the domain for employment and clicked the "Register" button.



The control panel of the registered domain allows you to perform any actions with it: change the DNS of the server, enable or disable hiding data, edit the contact information of the owner and much more.

Domain Transfer

Domain transfer is a rather complicated procedure and the procedure depends on the domain zone and the registrar. For this case, I have prepared a detailed description of the transfer procedure for any case. In addition, the system itself determines the domain registrar and says what needs to be done in order to transfer the domain to our service.

SMS sending

The service has the opportunity to send SMS messages with the substitution of numbers. The sender can be a domain name, which is used by our DNS server, telephone number or alphanumeric combination of up to 11 characters. In any case, all senders names are checked, so sending an SMS from someone else’s number does not work.

It is possible to send both single messages and to do a mailing to a large number of numbers.



In addition to regular SMS, the service supports sending three more types of messages:

• Flash SMS - the message is displayed directly on the phone screen
• Ping-SMS - sending invisible message to check the number
• HLR-SMS - receiving subscriber data (country of registration and network name)

For any sent message, you can view the status (delivered, not delivered). You can also postpone sending until a certain point.

Software licenses

Since the idea of ​​the service is to do everything in one, the purchase of software licenses is now available. Unfortunately, at the moment the variety of licenses is not very large, but their prices are quite low.

SSL and security

The service stores and processes quite important data, so it was decided to transfer the entire site to the https version . The certificate is not self-signed, so you will not see any security error messages. Also there was a function to view the history of inputs under your login. A little later, the ability will be added to indicate the IP addresses from which access to your account is allowed.

DNS management

DNS management now supports all available record types: A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, NS, TXT, PTR , SRV . As before, the service is provided free of charge for any number of domains. Updating records occurs immediately on all four geographically dispersed DNS servers.

Notepad domains

There have not been any cardinal changes, the only thing added is the schedule for changing the TIC and the ability to manage DNS records directly from a notebook.

Domain Parking

Parking service is also a bit updated. Now you can choose the display language of the feedback form and fill in the field with the cost of the domain. Also appeared to view statistics in the form of graphs.





From not very important updates: a very detailed help section has appeared, a ticket module has been written. The tools were replenished with the following pieces: string encryption , time conversion , color matching , QR generator . The functions are not unique, but the “all in one place” principle did not allow me not to add them.

Development direction

Initially, the project was conceived as a convenient whois-service so that you can quickly check domains for employment. Since then, the site has been overgrown with a large number of various services that are somehow connected with the domain and “site” topics. In the future I plan to expand the number of services that the site provides. For example, there is an idea to monitor sites, provide backup space, and many others. In any case, I will try to do the maximum integration with existing services for faster and more productive work.

All services on the site are free - of course, with the exception of services that, by definition, can not be free (domain registration, sending SMS, etc.). Future plans include monetization at the expense of premium accounts with additional paid features, but the basic features will still remain free, and users registered before they are introduced will receive privileges.
