YouTube will make money on video, and Google Video will become a video search service on the web.

In a press release, Google decided to reveal some details regarding the future of its Google Video service and the recently purchased YouTube.

For example, Google search results already include links to videos located on YouTube, and from today these links also appear in search results for Google Video's native video hosting site. And over time, Google Video will be converted to a service where users can search for video content no matter where it is located.

YouTube will remain an independent division of the company and will continue to work separately. Google, for its part, will provide YouTube with the ability to search and monetize videos. The Inside AdSense blog has already reported on the upcoming testing of Adsense ads in videos among a small group of partner sites. Warner Music and Sony act as producers of video content, and partners will be able to place these videos along with advertisements on their websites. So, it is likely that in the future the company will allow video content producers to earn money by using YouTube hosting and / or provide this opportunity for people posting links to YouTube videos on their blogs or websites.
