Computer interfaces everywhere

An interesting and, as can be seen from the video below, the working concept was created by the Tokyo group of researchers (Department of creative informatics - how can this be adequately conveyed in Russian? ), The University of Tokyo, aimed at transforming completely ordinary household items in an apartment in tools for interacting with the computer without using the mouse, keyboard or touch screen as such.

The bottom line is this: a high-quality camera is installed in the room, which monitors the actions of the apartment owner. When he makes a certain characteristic gesture — say, opens a pizza box — the system understands the owner’s desire as a desire to work with a laptop and the projector starts broadcasting an interface to the inner surface of the box, for which the user can, for example, start a movie and control it. reproduction.

The second example is the use of a banana as a handset. Wanting to call or answer the call, the landlord of the future makes a characteristic gesture, bringing the banana to his ear, the system recognizes this action, the projector broadcasts a certain control interface to the banana and turns on sound equipment to perform or answer the call.

This development has already been presented in France and in Tokyo with working prototypes of the concept, which so far has no specific name, except as Device-free Ubiquitous Augmented Reality .

In the meantime, a specific development is underway - I think, quite complicated - a “fantastic” picture is quite conceived, when the computer system interface can be broadcast to any surface (suppose it is convenient to read the news on the wall in the kitchen while you drink coffee in the morning) and manage it by some simple movement, turning over the sites at will with a simple movement of the hand or even the chin.
