Competitions of this format offer participants to solve a dozen problems in three hours of time. Everything would be rather usual if not for one “but”: these tasks can be solved only in one programming language. Which one Oh, it will be known only at the very beginning of the round. That's the beauty of the format that a language is chosen that is unknown to most of the participants, and in the allotted time you need not only to solve as many tasks as possible, but also to learn a given language in a volume sufficient for their implementation. Tasks are selected simple and do not require advanced algorithms, so you can focus on the new language.
In the three previous rounds, Tcl, Io and Pike were unknown languages; I participated only in the first one, and I dare to assure you that it was fun. This time I spend the round and invite everyone to take part in it - I don’t need any special experience in sports programming, but it will be interesting (the readers of my blog here already know what a fan of languages I am more comfortable for, and it’s a sin not to pick something up something special). For completeness, here are the habraanans of the previous round .
