The company SplashData, which produces applications for managing their passwords, decided to show the worst, in the opinion of its developers, the passwords of 2011. These passwords were used by Internet users, and SplashData ranked the bad guys in a descending order, from the worst to the worst. In general, nothing unexpected, but quite interesting.
And yes, all these passwords were created by residents of Western countries; in the CIS, such studies were not conducted this year. Yes, and the discrepancies are not so big, only the names will change. Looking ahead, it is worth saying that the worst, and at the same time one of the most common passwords is “password”. Its counterpart, “passw0rd”, is ranked 18th on the list.
