Preliminary review
Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman is a new muzofon from one of the leaders in the segment of music mobile phones. Many of our autopsies have shown that among muzofonov and even kamerofonov best models from Sony Ericsson. They all had a minus only at a high price. But for the quality, you see, you have to pay.
In general, we have previously issued an advance to Sony Ericsson Live and, I must say, were not disappointed. This model is the perfect embodiment of a music phone - it has two large polyphonic speakers, symmetrically located at the top and bottom of the case. The loudness of the speakers is such that by turning them on at full power (and not hearing wheezing!) We were forced to turn it down - it’s uncomfortable to be near such a noise source.
The camera phone, with a resolution of 5 megapixel matrix, also left a very decent impression. And examples of pictures can be viewed below.
The operating system is Sony Ericsson Live, of course, Android. We have five customizable home screens and five same menu pages by default.
Perhaps, I didn’t like it - this is access to the sim and flash reader: there is no hot swap. You have to pull out the battery in order to install a sim card or change the “flash drive”.
The Sony Ericsson Live case is made of plastic, the device itself is very comfortable in the hand, it does not strive to slip out, and there are no prints on the case either. For those who care about the environment is important, we inform you that this gadget belongs to the “green” line of Grean Heart - that is, it does not have paper instructions (it is on the disc), and the phone itself is made from recycled plastic.
What this mobile phone can do is written directly on the “face” - that is, there is a special sticker on the display. So, we read: a 3.2-inch display (by the way, with a modest resolution of 320x480 pixels), a 1 GHz processor, the ability to record HD video from a 5 megapixel camera, GPS availability and 3G HSUPA support (similar to HSDPA).
It remains only to add that Sony Ericsson Live at the beginning of November on the Russian market, on average, costs 8.7 thousand rubles - a very good price for such a phone (keep in mind that the kit includes a 8 GB memory card). And the first users, describing the shortcomings of the phone, laconically shrug: "They simply have no (shortcomings)."
Glance before opening
Next, look at the location of the side buttons on the body of Sony Ericsson Live. On the left we see a microUSB connector.
Below - the air duct of the microphone and the hole for fastening the cord.
On the right is the volume control button for camera control.
At the top - a 3.5 mm headphone jack (in the center), the on / hold button, the Walkman player on button.
Getting to the review from the inside
The bottom panel
We begin the analysis of Sony Ericsson Live by unscrewing a fairly large number of screws: four “six-sided” and five “cross-head” ones. Then remove the bottom panel.
The panel is made of plastic; two polyphonic speakers are located in it almost symmetrically. On the bottom panel there is a headset connector, GSM antennas, Wi-Fi and GPS. Red stickers are moisture sensors. On the reverse side (that is, on the side where the reverse side of the phone is), these stickers are white. If they turn red, then this is an indicator of contact with water. On the bottom panel are the protective glass of the camera and the flash glass.
Front side of the motherboard
Before we get to the motherboard, we have to remove it from the clips of the upper part of the Sony Ericsson Live case. Also, do not forget about the plume of the display and the sensor, which should be unfastened.
On the front side of the Sony Ericsson Live mainboard, under a removable screen are a power controller with a power supply, a processor, and flash memory.
Reverse side of the motherboard
On the back of the motherboard Sony Ericsson Live are sim-reader and flash-reader. Also here are contacts of the battery, vibration motor, camera (its cable is attached to the other side of the board).
Display
Next, we separate the display and sensor. Display Sony Ericsson Live, we recall, has a diagonal of 3.2 inches, image resolution - 320x480 pixels, color reproduction - 16.78 million colors.
Top panel
The top panel of the Sony Ericsson Live is a plastic case and plastic glass on which the sensor is applied.
Summary
Sony Ericsson Live is a modern sample of high-quality muzofona. A very good price allows you to close your eyes to a low resolution display. And the presence of a powerful sound and a good camera, seasoned with the Sony Ericsson brand, makes this dish highly desirable for mobile gourmets around the world. Add here also the modern "wrapper" in the form of the latest OS - Android 2.3.4
Pros: - A great combination of price and quality; - gorgeous sound. Minuses: - low resolution display.
