The German firm Silverback began mass production of
bicycles with USB-powered .

In Starke 1 and Starke 2 models, the dynamo is mounted on the front wheel. The manufacturer of the
dynamo wheels is the company Supernova. The compact electricity generator assembly with a bushing weighs 370 grams (in the photo on the right), while a regular bushing without a generator weighs 130 grams, so the “extra” weight is quite small. The weight of the entire wheel with a carbon fiber rim is 850 or 939 grams, depending on the rim attachment.
Actually, to hang a dynamo on the wheel and connect USB to it is a simple matter. It would be much more difficult to make an analogue of the KERS system, as in Formula 1, so that the kinetic energy is removed only during braking and does not impede pedaling, for example, downhill. And such bicycle KERS-systems
exist .

Everything here is simple and budget, but this is no less convenient: now you can not worry that a battery sits on the player, GPS navigator or smartphone, so the navigator display can work all the time, showing the route. It is convenient to fix the navigator on the steering wheel so that it is always before your eyes, the USB connector is in the same place and by default it is used to power the front lamp.
