Skype today beats all idle time records
Skype has undergone a major break in service, which began today at approximately 2:00 pm Moscow time.
Skype reports that their engineering team found that the downtime was caused by software problems, the solution of which would take from 12 to 24 hours.
The problem turned out to be serious enough to temporarily completely abandon the downloads of the Skype client.
Previously, Skype had a very long period of performance and this simple one is the first in recent times. Compared with Twitter , which only yesterday did not work for about 6 hours (since the service is idle fairly regularly), Skype sets all records for uptime, of course, not counting today.
