Two reports will be presented at the seminar:

1. How obsolete are rule-based language platforms?Pavel Grashchenkov (EPAM, Moscow)
The report will consider a system for analyzing unstructured information developed at EPAM-Systems to extract data from Russian and other languages. The system is mainly used to determine the emotional coloration of the utterance (Sentiment Analysis) and extract information relevant to the customer (Data Mining).
The basic modules of the system will be briefly described, each of which has its own meta-language, and gives examples of parsing specific expressions in Russian by different modules.
It is also intended to focus on the advantages of rule-based systems over other types of language platforms.

Eugene GoostmanVladimir will talk about the plans of i-Free to create its own interactive system, as well as how to develop such products in general.
