Personal data from the FIU got into the Internet

The file with customer data of the Pension Fund of Russia (PFR) was published on the foundation's website - full name, TIN, information on insurance and cumulative contributions can be found through a search at Yandex, Russian News Service reported, citing one of the fund's customers. Now access to the file on the Pension Fund website is closed, but the file containing more than 1000 entries has been saved in the Yandex cache.

“This file is available for download for any Internet user. Yandex publishes sensitive data in a search. I began to check my data and accidentally found this file, which contains data on the payers. We go to the site, and there are his last name, first name and patronymic, TIN, the amount of payment, insurance, funded part and much more, ”said radio listener Nikolai on the Russian News Service.

The appearance of this information in the public domain is the result of a technical error, representative of the FIU, Marita Nagoga, told Vedomosti. According to her, information on individual entrepreneurs who are in arrears of insurance contributions has become publicly available. The leak is local in nature - about 600 debtors have appeared in the Internet in several districts of the Tver region, she stresses. Access to the file was closed about an hour after finding the error, but Yandex managed to index it - today, at 3:00 pm, the search engine promises to close access to this information, says Nagoga. The information contained in the file does not refer to personal data, she emphasizes. The FIU data file indexed not only “Yandex” - links to information from it are also present in the Mail.ru and Bing search.
