This time it will be a question not of “intellectual” systems, but of simpler things that can, at the physical level, be able to greatly simplify the maintenance of an already finished SCS. We will analyze and consider in the photographs how useful and interesting the SECURE security systems from the manufacturer AMP may be.
I think many would agree that they have never seen such accessories in practice. Especially considering the factor of the lack of such, even from well-known manufacturers of components of the SCS. It can be rightly said that this is a kind of know-how of the manufacturer AMP netconnect (TE connectivity). The main purpose of this product line is to increase network security and simplify the administration of local networks.
As a rule, network security is provided by software. AMP NETCONNECT offers a new line of products providing this solution at the physical level.

This “protection” is provided by the introduction of dongle protection keys. Each connector has its own unique key, i.e. a set of recesses and corresponding protrusions on the plug and socket. Their configuration makes it possible to mate only the “right” plugs and sockets. This prevents unauthorized connections / disconnections.
The dimensions and mounting dimensions of the protected sockets are the same as for ordinary analogs; therefore, they can be installed in standard switching and socket faceplates.
In fig. Figure 1 shows the photo of the RJ-45 fork. The length of such a lock is 34 mm. The key itself is longer. Most likely for the impossibility of losing it.
At once it wanted to “lock” some nest of RJ-45 (an example on a laptop). It looks quite seriously and moderately - reliably. In any case, you can not pull out your hand.
Such accessories can easily be used in everyday use. The meaning of use arises, for example in the workplace (patch panel), where you want to restrict access to any port.

The question immediately arises: where can such a patch cord be applied? A good example would be connecting a payment terminal in a mall or just a store (photo below). There usually installed a regular outlet with an RJ-45 port. Knowing "our" people, someone will take and even pull out a simple "unprotected" connection. And this is all the idle time of equipment that brings money (no need to say why this is bad).

It is long the most lock with a connector under a patch cord of 45 mm. Manual pull failed. In any case, they pulled it so as not to tear off the connector.
In addition to the above, I want to add that naturally these accessories cannot be considered as serious protection, but they can prevent the simplest possibility for unnecessary connection or disconnection of the connection.
