TeamLab launches the
beta version of its new CRM module, a corporate system for automating customer interaction. In the history of our project, this is the first functionality that was not tested inside our company because of its specificity, in particular, therefore, it is submitted to the users for trial even in the
beta version, and any comments, tips and suggestions are welcome.

If we proceed from the classification of CRM systems by functionality, our module is focused on sales management. According to the criteria for processing information,
TeamLab CRM is an operating system that provides for the coordination of contacts, the collection and categorization of information about customers, as well as control over the conduct of transactions. Thus, at this stage, our customer relationship management system is focused on sales departments rather than marketers or financiers, since reporting and data analysis tools are currently not included in the module.
')
Features TeamLab CRMTeamLab CRM becomes another, fourth part of a multifunctional web office for collaboration, document and project management, and this could not but affect the kind of solution that we are today. We did not seek to “embrace the immense” or become a competitor to such already proven systems like Sugar CRM, rather, we tried to use our strengths and use the experience gained in the development of previous modules. As a result, our CRM system can now offer not only the download of the necessary files, like most similar services, but also the creation of documents, presentations and tables right in the module. Given that the service will be open for use to all
TeamLab portal members, it is possible to restrict access rights, in the first place, this will help companies with several functional divisions.
As for the focus, in developing we proceeded from the needs of salespeople in small companies, who, judging by research, first of all need a base for maintaining contacts with the possibility of prompt access to it online, keeping a history of transactions, as well as various types of reminders and notifications.
A brief overview of the functionalityFor convenience, the interface is divided into four logical parts:
Contacts, Tasks, Transactions and Events.Contacts - the user can store all contacts with which his company works in one place.
Tasks are an easy way to create a reminder of what needs to be done. For example, they can be used for timely notification of an upcoming meeting or phone call. The user can associate the task with the contact, transaction and event, or create a simple note for himself.
Transactions - allow the user to track potential sales, determine the stages of transactions in accordance with the company's business process, keep history, set tasks and upload documents.
Events - provide an opportunity in one place to keep a history of correspondence, set tasks, upload documents for contacts involved in a common cause. For example, it may be group training or organization of an exhibition.
Among other features of the system I would like to note:
- an element of customization in the form of adding the necessary custom fields: depending on the specialization of your business, you can add the necessary sections to the
Contacts, Transactions and Events sections, for example, “Source of Information” or “TIN”;
- segmentation of information using tags;
- import contacts in csv format.
Upcoming system improvements- integration with TeamLab Calendar and Email;
- release of the mobile version;
- report implementation;
- Import contacts in vcard format.
So, perhaps that's basically all I wanted to tell about the new module. We remind once again that this is a
Beta release, and we look forward to any feedback, tips and suggestions. It depends on them what will be the first version of
TeamLab CRM . At the same time, we dare to assure that whatever changes the system undergoes at the output of
Beta , all the data that you load in the module now will be saved during the transition to the next versions.
