Mail.Ru does not like Yandex and Google or an interesting feature of the work of Mail.ru Agent

I want to tell you about one interesting feature of Mail.ruAgent work.

It is already no secret to anyone that, often installing one or another free (and even paid) software product, besides the original product itself, others will necessarily be imposed. Mail.Ru does the same. By installing Mail.ru Agent, at the same time, you will be given the top three of unnecessary services, namely Sputnik@mail.ru, Guard@Mail.ru, AlterGeo Magic Scanner (in the latest version of Mail.ru Agent, you can refuse to install these services).

So, what are their features: when you install the Guard@Mail.ru service, when you try to change the start page to google.com or yandex.com, you will be warned that something wrong is happening, according to Mail.Ru. Some kind of security warning.

When you try to change the start page to other sites, no warnings appear. That is, google.ru and yandex.ru are evil, but for example a site with obscene content is ok! More interesting: if the user in a fit of passion puts a tick "Do not ask again" and presses the biggest button (and you want to press it, it is so well located), then in this case he will no longer be able to change the start page to google and yandex, will not remove or stop the Guard.mail.ru service.

Well, for dessert, even if Mail.ru Angent is deleted, the AlterGeo Magic Scanner service will remain in the system and will continue to collect various information for Mail.Ru.

In our company, we solved the problem by blocking the launch of the service guardmailru.exe through group policies.
