Meet, HTC Edge - the new flagship from HTC - the first four-core smartphone in the company. And most likely all over the world.

According to information from reliable sources, Edge plans to incorporate the very cream of modern mobile technologies.
HTC Edge will have the same screen size as the Galaxy Nexus: 4.7 inches diagonal with a resolution of 1280x720p. The smartphone is planned to be released in the case, about a centimeter thick, and will be equipped with an eight-megapixel camera. The main improvement will be in the heart of the phone: powerful Tegra 3 with four cores of 1.5 GHz each. To all this, the smartphone will receive 32GB of internal memory, 1GB of RAM and a sound chip from Beats Audio.

Developers nVidia argue that Tegra 3 will be more economical than Tegra 2, due to the fifth core, which will be used during device downtime and low loads.
Most likely the device will go on sale with the Android OS 4 (otherwise the phone will receive the update as soon as possible) and the proprietary shell Sense 4.0.
The only thing that was not mentioned is compatibility with the LTE communication standard. Only support for 21 megabit HSDPA is mentioned.
The presentation of the device is scheduled for the first / beginning of the second quarter of 2012.
