What is the new media and how to advance start-ups in social networks

On October 10, a regular meeting from the Open Days educational programs cycle took place in the Ingria business incubator. Ilya Balakhnin, CEO and managing partner of New Media & Digital of Paper Planes agency, came to Moscow from Petersburg especially for a visit.

The fundamental maxim, which, as it turned out, was based on all of Elijah’s speech, sounded almost immediately: to become creative, you just need to relax and learn some tricks. Innovations, in turn, are based on creativity, and once you can learn one thing, then the other is also under the power of many.

However, no innovations and no creative ideas will help your product, product or service if he / she does not have some basic qualities:
')
• Demand from the consumer. Here the most important thing is to conduct a fundamental study of the market and consumer tastes. Without such analysis, success is incredibly hard;
• Competitiveness. Your “child” should be individual, which means:
• unique (uniqueness can be real and perceived)
• authentic (the correct policy of the company, which declares a high level of service and provides it)
• “eloquent” (it is interesting for consumers to look inside the company, find out what is happening there. If the company is able to maintain a decent level of openness, this increases customer confidence and demand for products / services).
• Technological feasibility and environmental friendliness

Another surprising fact that Ilya told about - 92% of employers do not open your resume. It turns out that even in Russia there is a practice of examining candidates and applicants for vacancies on their accounts in social networks.

In conclusion, the speaker spoke about the main trends of the modern business environment:

• Reduced communications. People don't want to read a lot and think a lot, they are interested in short messages. Against this background, the infographic is rapidly developing;
• Localization;
• Environmental friendliness;
• openness;
• Mimicry of devices and technologies under the human “operating system” (reproduction of real movements and plastics, for example);
• Decommertiality

We invite you to watch an interview with Ilya and learn more about new media and their use in startups.
