For the second time this year, Yandex is holding an Internet Mathematics contest .
The purpose of this particular competition is to provide everyone with the opportunity to conduct research to predict the relevance of documents on user behavior. Specifically for the contest, Yandex provides a unique set of data - information on transitions to documents from search results and assessor assessments of the relevance of these documents. All data on the search behavior is fundamentally impersonal, and in the data provided for this contest, the texts of the queries and the addresses of the sites were also deleted (by replacing them with random numeric identifiers). Thus, the competitive task is presented in the most abstract mathematical form.
As before, you can participate alone or as a team, for the first three places participants will receive a cash prize (up to $ 5000). We will pay for the best Russian participant a flight to Seattle, USA, where the presentation of the best solutions will take place (at the WSCD 2012 workshop), and registration for the leading web search conference - WSDM 2012 .
