Adidas website hacked

Malefactors acting on the Web are now more active than ever. This year is generally rich in various events related to information security. All sorts of different incidents, starting with the appearance of the Stuxnet worm and ending with the reusable hacking of various Sony services, all this happened this very year. Now another large company has suffered from the actions of hackers (meaning the negative meaning of this term). Adidas turned off its own website on Sunday evening, after hackers launched a successful attack.

At the time of writing the news site Adidas is not working, so as far as can be judged, the attack is really large-scale. Currently, all available information is contained in a published appeal by the Adidas management, which says that the company’s experts are investigating the incident. Unfortunately, it is unclear whether hackers were able to obtain a database of registered users of Adidas services or not. The site does not work, not because of the actions of hackers, but at the initiative of the company. The management decided to disable the main and all additional sites and services at the time of the investigation.

It all started on November 3rd, when, according to company representatives, hackers were able to access the CMS management of the main site. The attack affected the company's online stores, plus Reebok subsidiary services. Almost immediately after the discovery of the fact of the attack, the site was disabled. Now some services and affiliated sites are gradually returning to the online, but the main site of the company is still not working.

Nevertheless, experts are working to provide all sorts of security measures that can protect the company's website, as well as users registered there from hackers. In general, the management made the right decision - it’s better to disconnect everything first and check it from the internal network rather than letting the site and services work, knowing that hackers continue to “work” with the servers.
