Privat24. Change of payment confirmation method

Like many others, I have become accustomed to using Internet banking (in my case, private24). And also, I heard about evil carders (yes, why bother, some of my fellow programmers wrote scripts for them).

Therefore, when trying to send a payment in the private 24 system instead of the usual SMS with a password (from number 10060), a window came out that I should send the incoming text message (by the way from number 3700) to the same number - I was surprised, to say the least.
I asked a friend to conduct a similar operation - he received an SMS with a password, an old sample. “Well, everything has arrived” - I thought, wondering what threatens to reinstall the system + change passwords. But out of the corner of my eye I noticed that the site’s footer indicated the number of the Privat-Bank SMS Center: 3700 .

So, either the hacking of the entire site and the card of random visitors (that IMHO is too thin), or is it all the same “feature” of Privatbank.

1. Open an online chat, and ask a question. While tech support arrives in a stupor
2. open Skype, and try to call, the benefit of this opportunity is stated on the site - no one picks up the phone.
3. We call the telephone number indicated on the website - the robot answers, it is impossible to get technical support.

Trying to update the chat - throws everything on the same consultant, who apparently just went somewhere else. Great, open a chat in another browser - oh, another consultant. This one answers the question “Is there anyone alive?”, But after asking about changing the procedure for sending a payment, it allegedly switches to another consultant. That one - into a stupor (another consultant was hooked, but half an hour later - “thanks for the wait”). Already seriously starting to think that the site was hacked.

I open the chat on another computer, ask a question about the number, and they instantly answer me that yes, our number, for security reasons, changed the method of confirming the payment. However, there is no longer any confidence that this is a privatbank consultant. Okay, trying to transfer a small amount of money - and hurray! all went well.

The result is an hour of time spent, a spoiled mood from “communication” with consultants. But it's so easy to send SMS from the usual number, although this, it turns out , does not guarantee anything. So it is better not to frighten people, not to change the usual course of things, without an obvious need.

UPD On Sunday morning, a PB officer called and asked me to name the approximate time of “communication”. So there is hope for correction
