With this parable, I open a new blog on Habré -
Offtopic , which will be devoted to everything, but not IT. It seems to me that this outlet will be useful for habrachelochestve;)
So, the old-old parable, which will always be relevant:
Professor of Philosophy, standing in front of his audience, took a five-liter glass jar and filled it with stones, each not less than three centimeters in diameter.
')
At the end asked the students if the bank is full?
Answered: yes, full.
Then he opened a can of peas and poured them into a large can, shook it a little.
Naturally, polka dots took a free space between the stones. Once again the professor asked the students, is the bank full?
Answered: yes, full.
Then he took a box filled with sand and poured it into a jar.
Naturally, the sand took a completely existing free space and closed everything.
Once again the professor asked the students, is the bank full?
They answered: yes, and this time definitely, it is full.
Then from under the table he pulled out two cans of beer and poured them into the can to the last drop, soaking the sand.
The students laughed.
And now I want you to understand that the bank is your life. Stones are the most important things in your life: family, health, friends, your children - everything that is necessary for your life to remain complete, even if everything else is lost. Peas are things that have become important to you personally: work, home, car. Sand is all the rest, little things.
If you first fill the jar with sand, there will be no place where peas and stones could be placed. And also in your life, if you spend all the time and all the energy for the little things, there is no place for the most important things.
Do what brings you happiness: play with your children, spend time with spouses, meet friends. There will always be time to work, clean the house, repair and wash the car.
Do first of all with stones, that is, the most important things in life; define your priorities: the rest is just sand.
Then the student raised her hand and asked the professor what is the meaning of beer?
The professor smiled.
- I'm glad you asked me about it. I did it just to prove to you that no matter how busy your life is, there is always a place for a couple of cans of beer!
