Competitions bada 2.0 Power App Race: $ 100,000 for each of the 10 winners!

Gentlemen, developers, start your motor-generator of ideas, turn on computers at full capacity and set the mouse and keyboard in a comfortable position. Samsung Electronics launches global application development competition for its own mobile platform, the bada 2.0 Power App Race.

Competitions created to motivate and reward those who develop innovative, functional and original applications for the Samsung brand platform are held for the second time and this year are devoted to the launch of bada 2.0. By the way, the beautiful and fascinating game Little Sailor from the Mooncoder development team became the winner of past global competitions.

This year there have been some positive changes in the competition. The new name, bada 2.0 Power App Race (in the past, the competition was called Samsung bada Developer Challenge), reveals the essence of a significantly changed concept. Now this is a real race and those who come first will win it. The main innovation and the main difference from other developer competitions is 10 prizes (5 places for games and 5 for applications) instead of the traditional 3x and the method of determining the winners - those developers whose applications will gain the first 100 thousand downloads will be awarded. In addition, competitions are no longer divided into local and global stages, but are held simultaneously all over the world. Since only applications created for the second version of the bada platform take part in the competition, this year the developers will use the new bada 2.0 SDK toolkit.

Competitions themselves are not limited to the date of the competition and will be considered completed as soon as 10 prize applications are determined. In the bada 2.0 Power App Race competition, both individual developers and whole “devi-timy” can take part, so everyone can choose: to chase the victory by himself or in the same team with the same talented and strong.

And now about the prizes: each of the 10 developers of application-winners will receive a cash prize of $ 100 thousand and other prizes totaling $ 300 thousand. All winning applications will receive a special “Power App” label and will be placed in separate promotional blocks in the Samsung Apps app store. In addition, the winners of the competition will participate in the bada Partner Program and promotional campaigns on the bada Developer website.
