The book "Blender Basics" is being translated into Russian for the 3rd time. This is a great tutorial written by James Kronister, a computer graphics teacher at Central Dauphin Hight School. He has been updating and supplementing his training course for 7 years now, distributing it under the free license Creative Common. This time it is the “Blender Basics 4th Edition” dedicated to the new version of Blender 2.60 .
The book describes the basics of 3D modeling, texturing, working with lighting and materials, animation. The new version of James considers in more detail the issue of creating games and working with GLSL materials. The methods of using the physics engine for creating interactive applications and object animation are described in detail.
