Well, it was our turn to stand still waiting for the habra effect. For a year now, as a small, scattered around the world, the team maintains and develops the site Excursiopedia.com : a site where users can independently select and book a tour as easy as, for example, booking a hotel or airline tickets. Yesterday we launched a new version and today we are finally ready to tell more about our young Russian-German brainchild.

The question “what to do today on holiday in an unfamiliar country where you flew by buying tickets for a special offer yesterday” is not new and familiar to many holders of a Schengen visa and an easy approach to a work schedule. Moreover, he is perfectly familiar to those who independently plan their only holiday of the year ahead of time. Out of attempts to defeat this issue, as well as from observations of foreign experience, the Excursiopedia project was born.

Basic information about the project

The project is intended to be an easy and easy to use platform, where private guides and excursion bureaus can publish their offers, and travelers can independently search for them, book and buy. In a way, this is an analogue of Booking.com only in the Tours & Activities market.

Placing information about offers for everyone is free. After registration, the guide gets access to a personal account, where he can start new excursions, payment methods, store order histories and communicate with potential customers. You can register, so far, in one of the four languages ​​and in your profile you can specify additional languages ​​in which excursions can be conducted.
For travelers, everything is simple: I found the tour you liked - I booked it - I paid for it. You can pay by credit card and PayPal.

Scheme of work

After payment, the client receives a voucher with which he comes on the tour. At the end of the tour, the traveler passes the voucher to the guide. The guide in the personal account on the site enters the code from the voucher, after which the money for the tour is transferred to his account, minus the Excursiopedia commission. If for any reason the tour did not take place (for example, the guide did not come), the money is returned to the client.

The search for excursions is carried out according to many criteria. This is: the country or city of the proposed excursion; any landmark; excursion category (historical or, for example, photo tour); language of the excursion and the method of movement (for example, you can search for all the excursions in a balloon). Search results are issued immediately with the price, time, category and business card of the guide who conducts this tour. The client can always ask clarifying questions directly to the guide, and soon there will be an opportunity to request an individual tour from the guide and receive an invoice from the guide.
