I have never claimed the title of audiophile and will not. I understand how sound is born in headphones, I can say in what range acoustics sin, if it does, but all these tiny nuances and phrases like “noble bass”, “enveloping middle” are not about me. I do not know how :) Fantasy is probably not the same ...

Nevertheless, a couple of days ago the TopDevice TDS-700 set of budget acoustics came to me, and I generally liked it (although there are some minor shoals), which is why I decided to tell about it here. But do not wait for the above epithets. Everything will be harsh and to the point.

The first impression of them - heavy contagion! 10 kilos weigh. But on the other hand, they are stable - they rest on the table with four rubberized legs and do not vibrate.

As can be seen from this photo, the “under cherry” film converges at the bottom of the columns. Under the film - MDF, and in some places it can even be seen with the naked eye - the coating is not glued everywhere on the conscience. On the one hand, there’s no shortage of news, especially if we take into account that the cost of a kit in retail does not exceed 3,300 rubles, on the other hand, it’s still the flagship model among all 2.0 format systems ...

A power supply and a volume, low and high level controls are built into the “master” speaker. The two lower knobs (Treble and Bass) have a position “strictly in the middle”, so you can twist them in the dark to the touch.

Preparation for work is standard: we insert the plug into the 3.5 mm jack on the sound source, connect the other two ends to the main speaker, connect the speaker with the supplied cable with clips, cut it to the 220 V network and click the On button. on the backdrop. By the way, which is important, even when there is no sound, but the speakers are turned on, there is no this nasty buzz - the TDS-700 behave rather quietly, and they start to barely hear the buzz only if you turn the volume to maximum.
Now, actually, the most important thing is sound. “On paper” we have a total power of 60 watts (2 x 30), a signal-to-noise ratio of 95 dB, a range of 30–22000 Hz. In reality, everything seems to be so. The volume is enough for the eyes - half enough to properly shake a room of 40 square meters. However, and at the maximum, if the need arises, the seven hundred does not wheeze. Bass clear - do not rattle. HF and MF - in order, you can distinguish the details without difficulty.
But without any problems, of course, it did not go off. They occur when you start playing with the bass adjustment. Closer to the maximum mark, the five-inch woofer / mid-range speaker can no longer cope and clarity disappears, replaced by a frank porridge from low frequencies. In addition, in such a position, from the phase inverter, some extraneous knock is periodically heard, which, apparently, is not connected with the speakers. There is a feeling that something is fixed inside and starts to twitch from the vibrations that occur. And this problem did not arise for me alone - they write about it in the Internet.
The rest seems to be all right. Over 3300, in my opinion, quite a decent sound. If you compare, for example, with the more well-promoted Microlab Solo-1, it will be difficult to determine the winner.
