Not so long ago on Habré was published an article on the computer desk with adjustable height "The ideal desk for working at the computer . "
In the comments to the article, habrovchane made a lot of comments and advice, mostly useful.
Taking into account the general interest, activity and "advanced" of Habr's visitors in this matter, the developer had the idea to provide everyone with an analytical mind and creativity to take part in the criticism of the second table modification, so to speak, v2.0, at its stage design. And then the general product will be provided with the final product, taking into account constructive criticism and suggestions.
Any constructive criticism is welcome, but, first of all, there will be an attempt to take into account and implement those ideas that can technically be realized with available simple mortal means, i.e. Chubais nanotechnologies are not yet available to the manufacturer, electrical whip-whip-transformations in the “Autobots Ahead!” Style are quite expensive and difficult to install, and adjusting the heated legs through the iPhone, for the time being, is not in the plans, although the ability to hang a footrest with heated it is quite possible to discuss if there is a need for it.

So, based on the main comments to the previous article, and comments received from a few, but already the owners of the table, the following changes are foreseen:
1. The table in the first modification had a narrow tabletop and a sliding shelf:
Worktop with dimensions of 130 cm (length) to 60 cm (width)
The extendable shelf is 70 cm long and 30 cm wide.
Against the retractable shelf, many commented.
Design change:
- eliminated sliding shelf under the keyboard,
- the width of the table top is increased by 10 cm to 70 cm (width).
- the height of the box was reduced, under the table where the shelf went, (it is impossible to completely remove the box - it gives the rigidity and strength of the structure, and it is also possible to hide the wires from the equipment on the countertop in the box).
2. The stand under the monitor is fixed - a constant height of 40 cm (from the table top to the center of the monitor). Convenient for standing, unusual for sitting.
2.V. Design change:
Rack with height adjustment of the monitor (height only), i.e. the monitor goes up and down in the range of 10-15 cm. There are, of course, Ergotron-type developments that can do all sorts of things, but they cost accordingly, so the emphasis will be on “budget”, but at the same time simple and reliable solutions.

Further wishes: height, the shape of the tabletop, the location of the holes in the tabletop, but at least the color - everything is put up for discussion in the open dialogue mode in the comments.
You can even suggest which ceiling price is, in your opinion, reasonable. Hopefully teenage users will refrain from giving infantile comments in the style of “give 2 for free”.

PS In sketchup sketched the first version with modifications.
- Tabletop 700 * 1350
- Rack with gas lift shifted back - 15 cm to the rear edge of the tabletop and 50 cm to the front edge of the tabletop (the figure below shows the distance along the leg - 45 cm, but at the top the tabletop is 5 cm further beyond the edge of the leg, total from the edge of the tabletop to the rack - 50 cm).
- The corners are rounded at the front of the table, 90 angles are left behind at an angle.
In general, taking into account the comments, it looks like this. As soon as the details of the monitor holder are drawn, it will be added to the sketch.
