STMicroelectronics and General Satellite Corp. reached an agreement on cooperation in the field of digital television

STMicroelectronics, a world leader in the manufacture of semiconductor components, and the leading Russian company in the field of digital television technologies General Satellite created a working group to develop the latest technologies in the field of digital television.

The agreement reached will allow Russia to reach a new level of development of digital television, because the combination of experience and capabilities of the two leaders in this field will already partially solve the problem of “creating a scientific and technological potential adequate to the contemporary challenges of world technological development”, set by V.V. Putin in his last Message to the Federal Assembly.

In all receivers domestic brand General Satellite Corp. multimedia processors and memory chips manufactured by STMicroelectronics will be installed. As a result, due to the lack of intermediaries, we get high quality for a reasonable price.
