For LJ on trial

For the first time in Russia, a criminal case will be considered upon the publication of a message in LiveJournal. Leaving on the page of a local journalist Boris Suranov an unflattering comment on the work of the police, the Syktyvkar blogger Savva Terentyev fell under investigation. After reading his record, the officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs decided that it was a pure insult, and opened a criminal case under the article “Incitement of hatred or enmity, and equally humiliation of human dignity” And now, for one small message, his author faces, at best, a fine of 500 minimum wages, and at worst - up to four years in prison.
