Operator (+) no longer works in Google search

For ten years, many of us have used the “plus” (+) operator to specify a required word in a search query, but now Google has disabled this command as “redundant”. For example, the [+ ip] request is now similar to [ip] and [intellectual property], since synonyms are always automatically taken into account when processing a Google request.

In some ways, Google is right, because plus (+) duplicates quotes (""), and this duplication was unnecessary. Now, if you want to remove synonyms from the output, it remains to use only quotes.

According to some users, the reason for the destruction of the favorite plus sign is that Google allegedly wants to reserve the “+” badge exclusively for the Google+ service. But this version looks somehow too childish.
